Kalen Shoemaker

My name is Kalen Shoemaker, a 21 year old journalism student at Colorado State University.

Grew up in a loving family with three others with all the support of the world. Football and art were my life growing up, I love being good at the the things I excel at and these two topics have always consumed that need for improvement.

I love to express myself through any art form necessary, whether it be drawing, painting, or writing, I like to put things on a canvas that I imagine.

My main form of art is recreating old renaissance photos, comic photos, and anything that I grew up with.

I do this to see the paintings and pictures that I love done in my art style, I like to challenge myself to recreate the things I love. I believe that if I can not recreate things that I love, how can I create things that I love?

This portfolio is a gate to all of my creations, this shows all of my class work along with my personal work that I have created for years. Some better than others I may agree, but I have been pushing myself to learn new things as an artist with the idea of perfecting it down the line.

I look forward to adding to this website in hopes that it is able to draw some attention to my art.
